Love is many things,
Varied as the mood you're in.
Not all satisfy.

It grows; sometimes wanes;
Seldom stays in just one size,
But can be constant.

Love is like a rock:
Something to cling to.
It can give you faith.

Sometimes like a cloud,
Drifting with the changing wind,
It could dissipate.

Love can make you ill
When not reciprocated
Just the way you want.

Still, it's always there
To fill needs unexplained;
Perhaps not completety.

So, take what you can;
Insist not on fulfillment
Lest you lose it all.

For, what love you get,
No matter if not enough,
IS better than none.

When my mom's client, her favorite client, passed away I went up to her (mom's client's) house and started going though a bunch of stuff. Mom's client's daughter-in-law found a book full of poetry and I started reading them. The daughter-in-law said that I could take the book and I have been working on poetry of hers ever since. I hope you enjoy these poems.
